Registration information

There is plenty of advice about when and how to register your child for daycare. Here is how it works with us:

Most importantly: Visit our daycare in person! Only then can you decide whether you feel comfortable leaving your child in our care for several hours. Trust and a good feeling matter.

To apply for a daycare place, get a Kita voucher from your local Youth Welfare Office for your child. You may request it no earlier than nine months and should do so no later than two months before care begins. The voucher determines, among other things, the costs and hours of care.

Once you have chosen a daycare, plan around four weeks for your child to settle in, ideally before you return to work. During this time, your family and the educators get to know each other. At first, your child visits for only one or two hours with a parent. Their time at daycare then gradually increases as the parent stays for less time. Every child settles in at their own pace.

Before the settling-in period, we invite new children to play afternoons at the end of the daycare year. This lets children and families meet in a relaxed setting.
